As i wrote in my previous blog, i sent out a number of notices about the project last week, and in a matter of 3 days, got some 100 responses. And believe me, it hasn't died down yet. It's been a challenge to get back to everybody. I have been holding auditions non stop from 5 to 10, with a few exceptions here and there since Monday, seeing people in spots of 30mn. Yep, do the math: 10 people a day, 30 people in the last 3 days. I am exhausted. The process is also grueling. I have come to appreciate the couple of no-shows so i could lie down for 20mn and take a flash nap. When i have time, i may add a section to the site just to manage all those auditions for a future project.

I can't say how much i have appreciated everybody coming, and i have heard some really good bits. I am going to do this for another 3 weeks and hopefully get the right people. As expected, Karyn is by far the role i get the most requests for. It seems to match the dominant demographic in actors in New York today: 20-something women. What i found surprising though is that comparatively speaking, i got way more request from actresses than actors. The story has very strong women roles, but the male roles are pretty good too... Let's wait and see.

Again, thanks for all the people who came over and were actually prepared (for most of them).
