If you follow my reviews on my movie site RatingMovies.com (http://www.ratingmovies.com), you know i love the macabre, the bizarre. You have read me extoll the virtues of films such as Aftermath, Scarlet Letter, Sympathy For Lady Vengeance, Vital, Emanuelle In America and other Black Emanuelle fares, or Dumplings to name just a few. These, and several other movies have really shaped my sensibility for the horror genre, or macabre stories, and certainly have served as inspiration for my own film Time Flies.

I was browsing around the web tonight and came across a couple of great sites. First, i discovered Australian artist Patricia Piccinini (http://www.patriciapiccinini.net) and her strange genetic experiments which she materializes as hyper realistic sculptures. I will definitely seek her exhibitions out if one comes to New York. Next, while i was searching for more pictures of her art on the web, i found this other site which resonates perfectly with some of my sensibilities too. Who Killed Bambi (http://www.whokilledbambi.co.uk) is dedicated to strange art, subverting pop art, and raising intriguing images of death and other unworldly things. It's tongue in cheek, sometimes chocking (even for me), and i really love it.
