Josie's Brain

After the case is supposedly solved, something in Josie's head is still bugging her. As she goes pack to Anna's apartment and Takashi's dorm room, she uncovers some critical piece of evidence her team had ignored before. As she follows the lead, she eventually figures out the real motive of the murder in one of the story's final twists.

This is definitely one of the most complex piece i have done so far. I'd love to hear your opinion. A 8mn epic track that follows Josie's unique intuition through several places in New York City until she finally is convinced the case has no mystery left for her.

Hopefully, the track conveys the feeling of a tortuous search for something, with a building crescendo to a finale when the truth emerges. It's slow, languorous and although it starts on a somber note, as Josie builds up her own adrenaline and excitement at the joy of solving a problem, the track ends on a mixed note of tragedy, yet satisfaction and resolution.


I felt Carpenter-ish when making this, with a humor note towards the end when i added a Mandolin as a reference to Josie being Italian.
